Janet Alder is the sister of Christopher Adler, who died in police custody in 1998. She has been fighting for truth and justice ever since.

1500 And Counting’ is a film investigating police brutality in the UK

Produced by writer, poet, and activist, Siana Bangura and directed by award-winning filmmaker, Troy James Aidoo, 1500 And Counting is an independent documentary investigating over 1500 deaths in police custody in the UK since 1991.

The film was launched in Summer 2016.

The INJUSTICE Film continued to succeed despite the attempts by police to suppress it

A spokesperson for filmmakers, Migrant Media, said; “We owe this success through the continued practical, political and spiritual support that many people have given us.”

Between 1969 and 1999 over one thousand people died in police custody in England.

The Update spoke to campaigner and activist Marcia Rigg, the sister of Sean Rigg who was killed in police custody in 2008

Marcia is an active member of the United Families & Friends Campaign, INQUEST's Family Reference Group and the Sean Rigg Justice & Change Campaign. She has tirelessly campaigned since her brothers death.

The United Families & Friends Campaign is a coalition of families and friends of those that have died in the custody of police and prison officers as well as those in secure immigration units and psychiatric hospitals.

UFFC was established in 1997.
