The main difference in all future Family Support Fund rounds (compared to round one) is that grants will not generally be awarded/issued on a rolling basis, but rather final decisions will be made after any given funding round has closed.
The exception to the above conditions will be in relation to Crisis Grants or if it is confirmed by an Assessment Partner that the requested need is significantly urgent.
Applicants only register once. If you have done so in the past you DO NOT need to register again.
UFFC Gift & Legacy Fund
We occasionally manage small grants on behalf of the United Families & Friends Campaign (UFFC) such as their Gift Fund or campaigning projects funding programmes.

What do we fund?
Funds are periodically awarded for a range of things including (but not exclusively):
- Contributions to funerals or memorial events and/or structures
- Promotional materials (banners, t-shirts, badges, business cards etc)
- For help with stationary, postal and related items or equipment
- Help towards travel costs to events, inquests or conferences
- Assistance towards the costs of counselling or therapy services
- Support with essential household provisions, debts and bills
- Short holidays and family respite breaks
Grants for other purposes will be considered from the Family Fund within reason. Affected families (active or not, past or present) can apply to the National Memorial Family Fund.
Note: Family campaigns must be registered with the National Family Fund website to be eligible for consideration of a grant.
See Useful Resources
The National Memorial Family Fund is the first permanent national resource of its kind specifically for those affected by deaths and killings in custody or state neglect, making small grants available for families and their campaign groups across the UK to provide practical domestic assistance and campaign support. We also run (or are developing) a range of other support services for families, children and young people that are affected.
