Plans for the future!

Regional 24-Hour Advice Lines

"We plan what we do, and do what we say"

We plan to develop regional helplines (in partnership with Red Alert HELP!) for families concerned about loved ones detained in state institutions.
The Summary

The free 24-hour telephone, text and online support and advice will be the key hub providing assistance for families affected by deaths or abuses in custody, or concerned about vulnerable relatives or friends in police, prison or immigration custody, or those held under the Mental Health Act.

Trained volunteer advisors will be on-hand initially 12 hours a day (and 24 hours a day after the first twelve months of operation) to offer basic advice/legal direction, support and signposting to anyone concerned about the welfare of loved ones that are held in some form of custody as defined above.

Please Help: 'The needs of affected families and children often get lost in the equally important work of campaigning and lobbying of state institutions. We want to change that with a permanent national fund set up specifically for their needs'

The Story So Far

Red Alert HELP! already provides an interactive advice portal online. The portal consists of a type-recognition system that picks up on key search-words and presents answers or solutions to the query.

Prior to the launch of the advice line the portal will provide an important resource online that is available 24/7, 365 days per year, and frequently updated.

The initiative was initially supported by the Edge Fund in 2015.

This resource is FREE to access

The other things that we do!

You can also use the main menu to find all the items that are shown here.
(Those on display below may change from time to time)

The Crisis Family Support Fund

In cases of urgent need our Crisis Family Fund will generally be available during periods when the Family Support Fund rounds are closed.

Two-Way Give-Back Shop

We block-purchase services or products and offer them to affected families at heavy discounts. When families use/order services or products on offer, the vendors simply give a little back.

The Family Support Fund

Funds are periodically awarded for a range of things including contributions to funerals or memorial events and/or structures, printing, short holidays and family respite breaks and more.

Shop & Support

You can easily help raise money for the Fund simply by doing something that we all do on a regular basis… Our shopping for food, clothing, household items, holidays, travel and entertainment.

The UFFC Legacy Fund Scheme

We occasionally manage small grants on behalf of the United Families & Friends Campaign (UFFC) such as their Gift Fund or campaigning projects funding programmes.

Family Fund Pin Badges

When you purchase your badge all the proceeds of sale will go to the National Memorial Family Fund to support families that have been affected by custody deaths in the United Kingdom.

Bespoke and unique!

The National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund is the first permanent nationwide resource of its kind for those affected by deaths in custody, making small grants available for families and their campaign groups across the Unitrd Kingdom.

This Fund is making a real difference for families and their campaign groups that need financial support during the often long struggles for justice lasting for decades in many cases.
