Nominations open in May for the 2026 Memorial and Gala Campaigner Awards
In May 2026 we will be announcing the nominations process for the second National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund (NMPMFF) Gala Dinner & Campaigners Awards.

Tippa Naphtali, NMPMFF founder and Development & Programmes Manager, said;
"These awards recognise the efforts of grassroots individuals, groups and organisations that have developed or led on initiatives supporting those that have been affected by state custody deaths and killings or injustices, or that have demonstrated a significant commitment to making change in our communities and raising public awareness at all levels."
The 2026 award event will be supported by 4WardEverUK, The People's Tribunal on Police Killings, Naphtali & Associates, and others to be announced.
The 2026 activists campaign awards will be in the following categories:
- Mikey Powell Youth Action Award
- Benjamin Zephaniah Literary Award
- Pauline Campbell Systems Change Award
- Gilly Mundy Family Advocacy Award
- Joy Gardner Arts & Education Award

Families of the 21 victims murdered in the Birmingham Pub Bombings have accused the Government of a major snub over a national memorial day for victims of the worst UK terrorist atrocities.
First Stop Web Design (a sister enterprise of Naphtali & Associates) has announced its intention to donate up to 10% of all new design projects to the National Mikey Powell Memorial Family Fund.
This FREE 'family-only' event consists of a tasty meal and beverages, pamper zones, arts & wellbeing stalls, resident DJ and local performing artists; willtake place on Saturday, 29 August 2023.
As part of this families Matter fun day (taking place on 29 August 2026), a variety of vendors will be providing therapeutic activities including music, canvass art, aroma and reiki sessions.
