The National Memorial Family Fund is to launch two new services in March & April called the Crisis Family Fund and the Two-Way Give-Back initiative respectively, in partnership with the United Families & Friends Campaign (UFFC).

The Crisis Family Fund

Essentially this is a fund that will always be open for applications (subject to available resources) in-between the standard grant rounds programme which is intermittent.

This will be a fast-track process for urgent requests only. Family Fund Assessment Partners will largely drive the application process, with quick decisions made by our team.

The Process: The first stage of the current process (registration) and grant limits will still apply, but from that point forward there is a simple endorsement form that Assessment Partners will submit to the Memorial Family Fund - and that's it!

The Two-Way Give-Back initiative

COVID-19 means we all have to work differently to survive and in order to support each other in the difficult times still ahead of us. As a result, the National Family Fund wanted to find a way to support local and creative enterprises whilst also supporting families affected by custody deaths… The Two-Way Give-Back initiative was born!

How it works: We will block-purchase services or products and offer them to affected families at heavily discounted prices. When families use/order services or products we’ve previously purchased, vendors simply give a percentage back to the fund.

An affected family member or campaign group (subject to terms) can claim any one of the products or services available in our Give-Back Shop. All they have to do is make contact with us, confirm a few details, and we'll put them in touch with the relevant vendor.
